The Lake House Reveal: The Living Room
When we started designing the Lake House Living Room, we had one goal in mind: to create a space that felt inviting, layered, and lived-in—like the kind of place where family movie nights, rainy day reading marathons, and spontaneous dance parties could all happen in the same week.
Spoiler alert: we made it happen. Let’s walk you through it.
A Sectional Built for Movie Marathons
First things first—we needed a big, comfy sectional. One that could fit all the kids, the cat, a bowl of popcorn (or three), and still have room for a cozy nap. We chose one with deep cushions and brown tones that let the rest of the room shine. It’s the kind of piece that invites you to sink in and stay a while.
Creating Intentional Living Room Moments
This room isn’t just for lounging. We carved out intentional little corners for all the different ways we live:
A cozy reading nook, complete with bookshelves and overstuffed chairs that just ask for a cup of tea and a good novel.
Layered lighting to give the space softness and versatility, no matter the time of day.
And of course, plenty of texture and warmth through rugs, pillows, and textiles.
Elevated with Beautiful Brands
This room wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible partners who brought beauty and function into every corner:
Lucida Surfaces for their durable and stunning flooring—the perfect foundation for all the life that happens here.
Curtarra window treatments to soften the light and frame the forest views just outside the windows.
Ginger Sparrow’s pillows add a touch of global texture and relaxed luxury to every seat in the room.
And our collaboration with Jaipur Living brought in the dreamiest rugs that tie the entire space together—soft underfoot, rich in pattern, and ready for real life.
